About

Hi.  I’m Melissa and I am a knitter.  I have only been knitting for a few years, but I love it! It’s actually the newest craft I’ve taken up. Well, maybe that’s not completely true. I did get a pasta machine and and some clay for Christmas a couple of years ago. So, I guess working with clay is actually the NEWEST craft I’ve taken up. But didn’t we all work with clay and play doh as children???? So, does that count? I paint and sew and knit and doodle.

I currently live in a small town in Kentucky with my husband of 9 years and my two children, Grace and Sam.  We are in full time Christian ministry and have been all 9 years of our marriage.  God has been gracious and faithful to us and we are trying to live lives that are pleasing to Him.  This is my blog about crafts..you’ll have to check out our family blog to get into the “deep” stuff.  Email me if you are interested.

  • We are looking for a Sweater or Vest knitting Pattern that has a heart, diamond, club and spade on it. Do you know where I could find a pattern that has this?

  • Hi Melissa,
I found your blog because my son was asking for a jersey for his Webkinz monkey, George. I’m so thrilled to read that you’re Christians. Nigel and I are members of the worship team at New Life Foursquare Church, Frederick, MD.
My Granny taught me to knit when I was 6 – the knitting was so tight, I could barely move it on the needles! I knit when the mood suits me and I always seem to have a pair of unfinished bootees in my knitting bag. I’m busy knitting this (http://www.modadea.com/patterns/LM0185.htm) at the moment (the yarn was on sale for $1 a ball at A.C. Moore!) So I’m also a frugal knitter! I only buy yarn when it is on sale and would never pay the retail price of $5.99 for Moda Dea Flip!
I’ll be adding you to my blog favourites!
    God bless,
    Bridget
